Turkey land of tower mills ?

Turkey is known as a land with tower mills as the typical type of traditional windmills. Recently I came across some images on Flickr of paltrok mills, which showed six wings with lattice frames instead of the usual jib sails of the Aegean area. Examples can be found on http://www.flickr.com/photos/gzin/473571952/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/banibani/221938184/; an image is shown here as well for your convenience. Until now I was not able to find any documentation in the well known literature on windmills (e.g. Notebaart). Can anyone comment on the background of these windmills? Are they historical for a certain region of Turkey?

Corujeiras, Portugal

At several websites windmills from Portugal are mentioned with a shape of a smock mill, metal covering and an annular (circular) wing system. An image is shown right. I got a vague indication of the geographic location (Madeira ?). Can anyone comment or provide further information on this special type of windmill?
